Add a little sunshine Lots and lots of yellow!!! An international trend… Maybe it’s because summer seems to be approaching, or that it just happens to be the perfect season here in the Garden Route. Whatever it may be, I am absolutely crazy for this yellow palette, particularly for an outdoor wedding, using the natural elements to add additional whispers of colour.
What chairs are wearing this year: An often overlooked detail is the effect beautifully dressed chairs can add to the overall ambience of your wedding. You could dress up the chairs at your ceremony, the bride’s and groom’s chairs at the reception, or, even better, all the chairs at the reception! Real Wedding:
Katie and Steve Hawinkels got married on the 7th of April 2012 at Allée Bleue, which is situated between Franschhoek and Stellenbosch. Kate and Steven met when they were introduced by one of her best friends who said: “I’m going to introduce you to the man you are going to marry.” The rest, as they say, is history. Janine and Toby Birch tied the knot on the 18th November 2011 at La Petite Dauphine in Franschhoek, which is definitely one of my all-time favourite venues in the Western Cape. With Toby originally from Tunbridge Wells in Kent and Janine from Leeds, they met in Australia whilst on holiday and both attended a wedding. Well, Toby never left…
